The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #212-"Pretty In Pink"

Hello Monday-

This week over at The Shabby Tea Room, Linda is our creative host and she has provided us with this elegantly beautiful inspiration photo. She asks that we create a card/project with this photo in mind and use the colors white/cream, pink, green, flowers, lace and/or ribbon.

When I saw this photo, it gave me a calm, relaxing, simplicity feel and so I wanted to make a simple card. Ha, Ha-me??? Well, I certainly gave it some effort and this is as simple as I get! LOL

Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs

I chose a stamp that I felt was perfect for this inspiration photo. When I looked at the photo it "brightened my day." So I chose the stamp sentiment, "You brighten my day!"

I hope you will come along and join us this week for this beautiful inpirational challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room!

Have a great week-
Heidi

The Shabby Tea Room- #211-"Bits and Bobbles"

Hello Friends-

I hope this finds all well and enjoying some sunshine! This week in The Shabby Tea Room, Tina is challenging us to make a card/project with this fun inspiration photo. I love the spring colors, with flowers and birds! The buttons on the card are so fun and unique and just a little bit shabby! :) Along with the inspiration photo, Tina asks that we include buttons, flowers and a print sentiment.

Our sponsor this week, is Digital Papers by Janet Etsy!
 .

For my card, I chose her ribbon spools vintage - digital collage sheet to use on my card. I just love the vintage feel of these spools, with the calligraphy writing, and the flowers and plaid bacground. I also love being able to print these collage sheets out in any size that will work for your card/project-so versatile.

Here is a close-up of the ribbon spool digi collage that I chose. You can see the fun vintage style that this ribbon spool provides. There are several other designs on this digi collage sheet, with different colors and designs.

I hope you enjoyed my card this week and please come and join us in The Shabby Tea Room this week and play along with the fun.

Have a great week-
Heidi

Hi Friends-
This week in The Shabby Tea Room, Debbie has given us the challenge of "Anything Goes!"

Whoo, Hoo!! So, here is my card. I chose to go with a sewing theme, as I have been wishing for some sewing time (not happening unfortunately), soooo, I went with the next best thing-a card with a sewing theme! :)

Our sponsor this week, is Bugaboo Stamps.

I chose the digi image "Stella Buttons" to color with my copics. Gotta LOVE Stella!!

I found some great digi printables on pinterest to use on this fun card-perfect to go along with Stella and to give a little vintage feel (cause Stella is old-LOL)! Sew much fun!!

Come and play along this week, and have some fun with anything you can come up with!

The Shabby Tea Room-Challenge #209 "Spring Is Near"

Happy Monday Friends-

I hope this finds you all and well. I love the title of this week's challenge in The Shabby Tea Room. I am sure, I am not the only one ready for some spring like weather. Although, here in Northern California, we need some more rain-so, I will wait a little longer for spring to arrive and just pretend it's spring and use my creativity to help me enjoy the coming weather and delights of spring!

This week, Aneta is our creative host and she has provided us with this wonderfully beautiful inspirational photo, which definately says "Spring Is Near." She asks we use this photo to give us a jump start into creating a card/project and to also use the color Baby Blue, birds and spring flowers.

Our sponsor this week is "The Cutting Cafe."

The Cutting Cafe

They carry some fun digi stamp prints and some great cut files that can either be cut with your machine or by hand. Take a peek at their great selection.

For my card this week, I chose to use a cut file with a pocket on it, so that I could fill it with pretty blue flowers. I always remember as a child in Kindergarten, when I hung a pocket of flowers that I had picked in the field on my way home one day, on my mom's kitchen door knob. Ofcourse it was May Day-but this pocket reminded me of that special memory and obviously, I had to indulge myself in that little thought, as I made my card this week. Ahhh....to be young again, when the days were so simplistic, and life was fun and so easy!

Ok, I know get on with it already-sorry, memory lane took me out of my reality for a moment :) Here is my finished creation (with a little memory lane wrapped up in it)!

I love the soft blue of the pocket and the little garden seeds and all the little extra gardening materials! What a fun card this was to create! I am sure you will all want to put your creative juices to work this week, with this fabulous challenge theme!

By the way, I almost forgot, we have three new Design Team members on board with us. Diane Hover - Nellie's Nest and Lenet Mos - To Scrap or Not to Scrap, That is the Question and Sharon Gregory (Shaz) - Simply Shaz. Welcome ladies and I know you will enjoy playing with us in the next few months with all of our inspiration and designs!

So, come on over to The Shabby Tea Room, and join all of us Design Team members this week!

Have a great week-
Heidi

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #208- "Pretty Polka Dots"

Hello Friends-
This week in The Shabby Tea Room, there is a hint of spring coming our way. Debbie is our hostess and she is asking that we use the theme "Pretty Polka Dots," and this fun inspiration photo. You can make a card or a project and don't forget to include "Polka Dots" in your creation.

I love the colors in this photo and with our wet dreary weather, this photo reminded me, that spring is just around the corner! I also, just happen to love, love, love polka dots, so it was a fun challenge this week.

Our sponsor is "Paper Sweeties."

With that, I used Thanks Berry Much stamp set and sweet little Emma from the Paper Sweeties collection. I stamped and paper pieced the little dress from the stamp set and colored Emma with my copic pens.

Here is my creation! "Welcome Spring," full of color and fun "Pretty Polka Dots!"

Come play along in this fun challenge and take a peek at what our other designers have come up with this week in The Shabby Tea Room

Have a great week-
Heidi
