Love Is In the Air Workshop and 2012 Calendar Class

Hi Friends-

I have a workshop coming up on Feb. 4th.

It will consist of 3 projects, in which you may choose which ever project you would like to do! You may do one, two, or all three if you like-your choice!

The first is a set of 4 Valentine cards for $20. I am using Echo Park's new "Yours Truly" line of paper. I will be posting pictures this week.

The second is a Valentine Banner for $15. I used My Minds Eye new "My Love" line of paper. This is just a single banner that is a great way to express your love to family and friends as it is hung in your home.

The third project is a "Family Photo Collage Frame" for $22.  I am using Basic Gray's new "Picadilly" line of paper. It is really a fun way to display family photos. It is broken up into squares, thus the term "collage" and in some of the squares are individual letters, which spell out the word "Family" and in some of the squares are photos, and in some of the squares are embellishments. The overall size is 12 x 12. I will be posting photos next week.

I also will be teaching a 2012 Calendar class for $25 on a different date. I have combined to two lines of paper for this project. I used My Minds Eye "So Sophie, and Stella and Rose," and Simple Stories "Year-O-graphy." I love the Simple Stories line, it is so cute! The date for this class is TBA, as I am looking for a location, but it will be in the next couple of weeks.

Here is a sneak peek of the calendar class!

Sorry for the picture quality.

You may sign up, for any of these classes/workshop, by e-mailing me at scrappinfriends.redding@yahoo.com

As always, any of these can be purchased as a kit and mailed to you. Kits include photos and instructions to help you complete the projects!

Have a great Week-Hugs Heidi

I Won!!!

Hi Friends
I  won the "Style Challenge" over at Misty's Scrapbook Corner. The card was to be designed with this picture as an inspiration.

This was my card design.

Thanks Misty for the opportunity to play along and to win a great prize!

I also won at Papertrey Ink with one of my cards. The challenge was to use one of the technique videos from last years challenges, and to create a card based on that technique. One of the technique videos I chose was to make your own background. This was my card I won with:

The top part of this card was stamped with a Papertrey Ink stamp set-"Butterfly Dreams." This was a very fun challenge! Thanks for the opportunity to play along and to win a stamp set of my choice. OOOOHH, so many to choose from!

Have a great week-Heidi

Sassy Cheryl-Challenge #96

Hello Friends-
One of my goals for this New Year, is to get ahead! LOL!!! My goal is to make cards ahead of time, that can be ready when the occasion arrises. So, what a perfect way to start that with a challenge at Sassy Cheryls!
Sassy Cheryl's Design Team member Ann, is challenging us to use an image that represents a "New Beginning." I decided that this image "1st Day of School," is perfect, as this year I will have two of my grandkids starting Kindergarten. So, now I am half way ready (way ahead of schedule-Yahoo for me!)

Recipe:
Paper: My Minds Eye-"Lime Twist, and Stella Rose", Bazzill and Papertrey Ink Cardstock
Misc.-Copic Markers, Rayon Ribbon, button and twine

Have a great day-

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #47: 2011 A la Carte (Card #3)

Hello Friends-

Papertrey Ink is hosting their "Make It Monday" challenge. This weeks (and the first of the New Year), is to use any technique shown in last years videos technique challenges. What a great way to start off the year-this was quite fun, and I wanted to do soooo many of the techniques (as I am still off work until Monday-back to school)-but time is catching up with me and I must tend to those chores of lesson plans and getting ready to return to work!

So here is my last take on this challenge-
This card is based on Erin Lincoln's technique "Sentiments." The challenge is to use the same or coordinating sentiment from many different PTI stamp sets. I love this challenge. It is sooo much fun to see how you can combine sets together to make one card.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #47: 2011 A la Carte (Card #2)

Hello Again Friends-

As mentioned previously, Papertrey Ink is hosting there "Make It Monday" challenge. This is the first of the new year! The take on this challenge is to use any technique video presented last year-lots of choices and great designs to choose from (*I am entering 3 cards)!

Here is my second of the three cards-
This card is based on Jennifer Ellefson's technique-"Coloring on colored cardstock." This was quite interesting to do. I used my copic markers and I have never colored on colored paper before. How the colors change on colored paper and especially after they dry. This was a fun challenge!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #47: 2011 A la Carte (Card #1)

Hello Friends-

Papertreys Make it Monday challenge this week is to use any of last years technique video challenges and to use that idea as a springboard for creating your card. What a fabulous idea and soooo many to choose from. You can enter more than once, so here goes....
My first card is based on Nicole Heady's "Stamp a Background" technique. The top portion of my card is stamped and the bottom portion is paper. I love how the two coordinate. Take a peek at all the other talented ladies entries at:
