Hi Friends-

Ashley Cannon Newell from PPI Desing Team is hosting this week's challenge. She is asking us to add glitter to our buttons. So, with that in mind, and because Sunflowers are my favorite, I chose to use the stamp set: "All About You Additions."
I love this stamp set, as Sunflowers are my all time favorite flower-they always bring a smile to my face with their sunshiny disposition!

Materials Used:
PPI Cardstock, My Minds Eye-"Stella and Rose" and DCWV Linen Closet Papers
Buttons with glitter (on the flower centers)
Ribbon (Maya Roads)

Just a quick post tonight with a fun little card I made.  I feel it is important to really sieze every moment we are given and to do the most with that moment-thus the title of this card, "Bloom Where you're planted." The title says it all! I have let myself get caught up in the daily hum drum of life and have forgetten to enjoy and live for each moment and to love each moment that I am given on this earth! I made this card for me-to remind myself to Bloom, Where I am Planted!

Materials:
My Minds Eye Papers
My Favorite Things Stamp, Papertrey Ink Stamp
Copic Markers

Enjoy and remember to "Bloom Where You are Planted" also!

A year of memories

What better way to capture a snippet of the year, than in a rolodex style photo holder. I created this little desk/table album to keep the memories alive during the year of 2012. I can't wait to see what each month's finished page looks like as the photos are added!
Here is a quick peek at the album:

I have 2 kits available to sell for $25. The kit comes complete with photos and instructions. You can contact me at scrappinfriends.redding@yahoo.com to order yours.

Day 5-Papertrey Ink Challenge

Hi Friends-

Today is day 5 of Papertrey Ink's 5th year Anniversary! Today's challenge is to create a new project inspired by a Pinterest Image. Now, if you haven't heard of or been to the "Pinterest" site-you are in for a real treat! It is soooo addicting!!  It is a place where you can find all the inspiration needed to get your mojo moving!

So, to find my inspiration, I looked around for some fun pillows (as I am going to be remodeling my living room soon)! Here is a great pillow I found, and couldn't resist it's simplicity and fun!

Now, on to the creating a card that was as simple and fun as the inspiration pillow!

Materials Used:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink "White"
Print Paper: Crate Paper
Stamp and Die set: Papertrey Ink "Little Bitty Bird"
Misc.: Ribbon

Papertrey 5th Anniversary-Day 2 Challenge

Hello Friends-

Wow, Papertrey is busy, busy, with some great challenges right now during their 5th Anniversary! Today is day 2 of a 10 day challenge series. Today's challenge is to create a card with one of the Designers freebie download images. They are all so great, that it was hard to decide on one image. I narrowed it down and the one I chose is Dawn McVey's "Happiest Birthdays" image.

I love how Dawn puts colors and stamped images together. They are not only elegant, but they are simple and clean. I love how she makes it look so easy. My simple designs just don't do much for me, and I always end up adding more and more! If you haven't been to her blog, then you must take a look around-as I always am, you too, are sure to be inspired!

So, with that said, here is my take with her freebie download-Thanks for the great designs Dawn!
Materials Used:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink "Sweet Blush", "Kraft"
Patterned Paper: Papertrey Ink "Polka Dot Parade", My Minds Eye "Stella Rose-Gertie"
Freebie Image: Dawn McVey
Stamp Set and Die: Papertrey Ink "Celebrations" and "Celebrations Frame"
Misc.: Ribbon, Papertrey Ink Button
