MIA-WOW! Let's Get Caught Up

Hello Friends-

Wow-I know, I have been MIA for a little over a month! So, here is the scoop-"I definately HATE technology at times!" My computer is down, and I have had to find other ways of posting to The Shabby Tea Room Design Team challenges. I know everyone is tired of my asking if I can come and borrow their computer for a minute, while I send off my project to Debbie and post on our DT blog! Thanks DT members and Debbie for being understanding and patient with me!

So, I want to get you all caught up with all my past projects to date!  You can click on ea. challenge title to go to that weeks challenge and see all the DT projects, along with the guest designer for the week and the inspiration photo!  ENJOY!!

Challenge #196- "Noel"

I gave this card to my mom for Christmas. It is one of my favorites that I have done in a while! I love the colors and the digi from Janet was perfect! Debbie was the hostess for this challenge and the theme was "Noel." She asked us to use buttons and polkadots.

This little gingerhouse was created with a digi cut file from AR Creations. It was fun to create and I enjoyed having it on my mantel at Christmas! Aneta was the hostess for this challenge and she asked us to use the theme "Sweet Christmas" with a digi file from AR Creations, red, white, gingham and gingerbread.

I love the soft colors of this card. I was the hostess for this challenge. My theme was "A few of my favorite things." I asked the DT to use buttons, snowflakes, silver and white! I used a texture paste and plate to get the background design on my card. This is a fun technique that makes like a suede type feel to the card-love it!

Happy New Year!
Lesley was the hostess for this challenge and she chose a "Color Challenge" as the theme. She asked us to use the colors: black, kraft and vanilla, and a digi cut file from the Cutting Cafe.  I love the elements of my card!

Linda was the hostess for this challenge, and she chose the theme, "So Romantic." She asked us to use Paper Sweeties products, and include roses. I chose to use paper with roses printed on it, rather than adding a rose flower. I added a cute little flower to little Abigail.

Tina was the hostess this time around, and her theme was a sketch. She asked us to use the sketch, along with the inspiration photo. The sponsor for this challenge was Ribbon Carousel. I was soooo, ready for some fun colors of pinks, reds, white and black. So, I made a vintagy valentine card! I love how it turned out!

Debbie was the hostess for this challenge. Her theme was "Baby, It's cold outside!" The inspiration photo was a door with a wreath and ice skates. I mimicked it somewhat, and love how it came together! (Sure wish we had some VERY much NEEDED rain and cold weather here in Northern CA). We are now under a drought and have been having Red Flag Warning Days for fire watch! Man, its January people!!! Pray for RAIN!!!!!
Debbie asked us to use white, green, silver, a red bow, and a digi file from Bugaboo.

So now, you are all caught up (or rather I am!) Thanks for hanging in there with me, and I am hoping to be able to post more regularly, as I am hoping to get a computer in the next week or so!

Make sure to check out "The Shabby Tea Room" blog and play along with us each week in the weekly challenge! We have a blast, and love seeing all your creative work.

Have a GREAT weekend, (I am enjoying out 85 degree weather and playing lots of tennis)!

The Shabby Tea Room-Challenge #195- "Terrific Tags"

Good Monday Morning Friends-

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving with family or friends this year! It was a busy time in my house with 3of my 4 children, spouses and of course all the grandkids! It was a great day with us all together and I loved every minute!

Back to reality.....

This week in The Shabby Tea Room, Tina has offered this wonderful inspiration photo for us to work from, and asks that we create a card or project and to include a "Tag."  I just love making tags, at this time of year especially!

Our sponsor this week is:

If you haven't been over to Paper Sweeties and checked out all the fun stamps and dies-then you must hurry over-sooooo cute and fun to work with!

For my project this week, I made a fun wintery tag, perfect for the upcoming season of winter frost and Christmas wrappings!

This tag is a small tag and I used Paper Sweeties: "Let It Snow" stamp set. It is the perfect size to attach to a gift bag.

I also created a larger tag to go with it, that is the perfect size to go on a large box. Both of these tags will be going to the same recipient, and so I wanted them to match!

The wintery, blustery weather always gets me in the mood to create, and with that comes lots of mojo! These cards came into my mind quickly as I began creating! I can't wait to put them on thier packages and give them away!

Be sure to stop by The Shabby Tea Room, and see all the wonderful creations the design team has dreamed up this week and then join the fun too-we would love to see what you come up with this week!

Happy creating,
Heidi

Good Morning Friends-

Ahhh....I have a week off from teaching this week-I am soooo Thankful! Don't get me wrong, I love my job and having the opportunity to teach all my little munchkins and provide them with some positive opportunities during the day, but I so needed this break to re-energize, as they get very excited at this time of year, and the energy level and behaviors are much more escalated-so it is a break I will enjoy! :)

Ok, enough about my needed break-LOL and onto the important things:

The Shabby Tea Room this week has this wonderful inspirational photo provided by our Design Team member Linda. She asks that we create a card/project with this inspiration photo as our jumping off point, and to include brown, white and red in our design.

This week's sponsor is:

You can check them out at these links:

I chose the digi image "Teds Cocoa" for my image this week, as it was perfect to go along with the inspiration photo, and I love a good cup of cocoa!

I colored the image with my copics, used "Oatmeal Cream" rayon ribbon and rusty Jingle Bells, and "Sending Holiday Cheer" stamped sentiment from from Paper Sweeties. The papers I used are from Bazzill-"Believe," and Echo Park-"Reflections-Christmas."

Head on over to The Shabby Tea Room and check out what we all have been busy creating this week and join us in this fun challenge. You could win 7 Digi images from Bugaboo Stamps-Hurry!

Have a great day-

The Shabby Tea Room-#193 "Gingham Country Christmas"

Hi Friends-
Before we know it, Christmas will be here and I am already enjoying creating those beautiful Christmas cards and projects to send to family and friends!

This week in The Shabby Tea Room, Lesley is our host and she has given us the Country Christmas Inspiration photo to work with.

I love the feel of this room in the photo-it's so warm and inviting! Lesley asks that we use this photo as our inspiration and also use the colors red, blue, vanilla and gingham on our card/project.

Our sponsor this week is-" My Time Made Easy."

My Time Made Easy™ LLC

I chose to use Lauren's "Card Wrapper" with my project. It is a fun template that wraps around your card and creates an envelope type box to keep the card in!

I used gingham to cover the front of my card wrapper, and then fussy cut some papers from My Minds Eye-"All is Bright" paper pad. What  a fun project this was!

Take a peek at what the rest of The Shabby Tea Room Design Team has come up with this week and then start getting busy and join the fun!

Shabby Tea Room-Challenge #192 "Holiday Baking"

Hello Friends-

Happy Monday and Veterans Day! What a great day it is here in Northern Ca. (a little overcast, a little sun, and fairly warm-great weather)~love it!

This week in The Shabby Tea Room, I am the Creative Host-I am asking that you create a card/project with this fun and fall colored inspirational photo, USING THE CHALKBOARD TECHNIQUE and INCLUDE A 'BAKING ELEMENT', WHITE, RED & ORANGE!

Our sponsor this week is Digital Papers by Janet Etsy

I chose to use one of her collage sheets (Cooking Cards) with a little girl stirring her ingredients up in a large bowl! I don't know about you, but I can remember as a child, helping my mom or my grandma baking cookies, and the bowl seemed ever so large to me! So, this little girl just reminded me of these times when I was a child.

I chose to make a chalkboard to go along with the inspiration photo and the sentiment I chose, (Papertrey Ink), is just perfect to go along with this little cooking girl.

Using a chalkboard technique is so much fun and oh so easy peasy! If you haven't tried it yet-you must, and this is the perfect oportunity!

So come along and join us in The Shabby Tea Room and hop over and take a peek at all the inspiration we have left for you!

Have a great rest of the week-and get busy!
Heidi
