Hello Friends-
Wow! Where have the last couple of months gone? I can't believe it's the end of July and I have had little crafty time in the last couple of months. I had this week off work (much needed, I must say) and I definitely wanted to fit in some card making.
Melissa Philips, over at Papertrey Ink had a weekly challenge with a technique I had not tried before, so what a perfect option for making a card and indulging in some me time! Melissa has a great video (as always), showing how to spritz your stamps to get a unique flair to stamping. If you haven't seen it yet, click here.
Here is my card:
Recipe:
Papertrey Stamp and Dies: Garden Variety
Papertrey Paper: Pale Peony, Stampers Select White
Papertrey Inks: Simply Chartreuse, Pale Peony, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise, Soft Stone, Smokey Shadow, and Classic Kraft
Papertrey Ink Button: Hawaiian Shores
Papertrey Ink Die: Tag Sale #8
Miscellaneous: "Garden Party" by Pebbles-Patterned Paper, Seam Binding Ribbon, Twine, Doily
I used the spritzing technique on the flowers and grass in the watering can. It is a small stamp, so it doesn't show the technique well in the photo, but it was a fun and easy way to change up a stamps look!
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by. Now go get crafty yourself and stop by PTI blog to see what others are creating with this technique.
See you soon-
Heidi
What a lovely card. I like this technique with the flowers and grass - gives it that watercolor feel.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Heidi! This resembles Melissa's style of cardmaking so much.
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely sis...I am going to click on the tutorial and save it to my Tutorial Pin Board. Love your soft colors!
